Prenatal Yoga

Tuesday 6-7pm, Wednesday 9:30-10:30am & 6-7pm, Thursdays  6-7pm, Fridays 9:30-10:30am, Saturday 9-10am and Sunday 11:00-12:00pm.

Our Prenatal Yoga classes assist women to relax and move through the changes and growth in pregnancy, birth and early motherhood with more ease, support and connection to themselves and their baby inutero.

Research shows that prenatal yoga practice is safe for high risk pregnancies and when practices for 1 hour, 3 times a week for 3 months women reported feeling more positive, having increased energy levels, as well as feeling a greater sense of relaxation, and overall wellbeing. Also, physiological markers of health and wellbeing were significantly improved and adverse effects were reduced.

Yoga assists to:

  • Release stress and anxiety
  • Strength and alignment of the pelvis and spine
  • Strength and clarity of mind
  • Emotional balance
  • Increased circulation to the uterine muscles
  • Breathing and relaxation for labour and birth skills
  • Helping women to slow down and adjust from a busy work life to their time as a mother

 

All classes are overseen by Kylie Hennessy and include:

Asana Practice for pregnancy fitness and optimising circulation and the peri-natal health of the baby and the uterine muscles for labour and birth

Pranayama (breathing Techniques) for reducing anxiety and stress levels for mum and baby

Pranayama for labour skills and postnatal support

Visualisations and Meditation for pregnancy body/mind health, bonding to the baby and birth skills

 

Fertility Yoga Therapy Sessions
Available Tuesday evenings and Saturday Mornings with Kylie

These private yoga sessions are specifically designed for individual preconception care, fertility and IVF support and assist in:

  • Hormonal balance
  • Reducing stress and anxiety
  • Increase circulation to the reproductive organs and hormonal centres
  • Complimenting acupuncture treatments for fertility and IVF support
  • Promoting better sleep
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Emotional support and health

In these private sessions you will gain an easy to follow home practice for ongoing support.

Packages are available to incorporate acupuncture and massage.

 

Mums and Bubs Yoga
Tuesday 9:30-10:30am

These classes provide support for the first 6 months or so of your babies life and generally run in 6 week cycles.

The course seeks to assist in:

  • The release of stress and anxiety
  • Strength and alignment of the pelvis and spine
  • Strength and clarity of mind
  • Emotional balance
  • Help Bonding
  • Strengthen and tone the body
  • Releasing neck and shoulder tension and stabilise the pelvis

Women are encouraged to practice with their baby alongside them and use simple relaxing and calming techniques if they need to feed or attend to the baby which they can find useful at home too.

Toddler Yoga Courses

Connect, Play and Relax. Yoga with your toddlers from age 2 to 5 years and a parent or caregiver.

Tuesdays 9:30-10:15am

Family Yoga Monthly Class

Join us to connect, play and relax with your whole family. Open to kids between 2-10 and the big kids in their lives (Parents, Aunts, Grandparents, Uncles and guardians).

1st Saturday of each Month, 3-4 pm

Minimum number required and bookings essentials.     School Holiday Activity available. Contact us.

Yoga For Anxiety and Depression

Mondays 7-8pm – 6-Week Course

Yoga is an effective practice for improving our mental health and reducing feelings of anxiety and depression. Practicing simple postures, breathing techniques and mindfulness meditations gives the body/mind the opportunity to heal itself and release old feelings and thought patterns. It is a great compliment to other forms of health care and helps individuals to feel self empowered, a greater sense of calmness and  inner joy.
